What’s in a Name?

It all started when…

When looking for a name for my business, I wanted to be sure to acknowledge the man who taught me the most important lessons in both life and woodworking, my father Joe.

In my earliest memories I was often looking over my Dad’s shoulder, watching intently to see what he was fiddling with on his workbench in our basement. A hobbyist woodworker and handyman, my Dad built our family’s kitchen cabinets, crafted many built-ins throughout our house, and generally undertook any home renovation project without batting an eye. It was his knowledge, along with his patience with me as a young child, that got me interested in woodworking.

TO THIS DAY, I VALUE HIS OPINION AND FEEDBACK ON MY WORK MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE.

On the other side of my family, my maternal grandfather, Tom, was also quite handy around the home having finished his attic and building a sunroom off the back of his home.

WITH WOODWORKING SEEMINGLY IN MY GENES, IT WAS QUITE EASY COMING UP WITH A NAME.
